Does the OT organise equipment

The Aged Care OT will assess what you need and recommend the suitable assistive technology/equipment or aids. The OT will organise equipment trials and coordinate with suppliers, home care providers and help with any reports.

What reports will I receive

After the initial home safety assessment the OT will write a report with recommendations regarding the home environment as well as any equipment recommendations

What does an in-home Occupational Therapy assessment involve

We come to your parent's home. We spend time observing how they move through their space, what hazards exist, what they're struggling with. We talk to them about their daily routines, their goals, what independence looks like to them. Then we make specific recommendations: equipment they need, modifications to the home, exercises that rebuild strength and confidence. It's practical, not theoretical. By the end, you have a clear action plan.

When can we schedule it?

We work across Melbourne's south east and norther suburbs. You submit an enquiry or book a discovery call. We'll get in touch and confirm a time that works for your parent's schedule. Most families get in within 1 to 2 weeks of booking.

How long does an assessment take?

Plan on 60 to 90 minutes. We're thorough because we're looking at the actual environment, not just doing a checklist in an office somewhere

How do I get started?
